Robert stood next to the water, looking down. He was bundled up because it was cold out but he was happy. Then a snow flake fell in front of his face and he looked up.
'It's snowing....the first snowfall,' he thought with a smile.
The flakes started to fall faster and harder. Robert laughed and he held up his arms. He had always liked being out in the snow, especially when it fell like this. He looked around and laughed again then sat down next to the water with a content sigh.

Lily was walking out to watch the first snowfall. She loved the snow but didn't like the fact on how cold it was. Lil pulled her coat around her. She was a new teacher at this school and needed time to think about which language she wanted to teach. French or english? Different people spoke different slangs of french depending on where they were from. Lily happened to come from Quebec Canada. She still had a french accent but she spoke very good english. She looked and saw Robert who she had breifly met before. She stood leaning on a tree and smiled as Robert was jumping all around. She shook her head and wondered how long it would take him to notice she was standing there. Lil couldn't ruin his happiness. Lil wondered if he even remembered her...

Robert smiled and stood still after a bit. He reached up and shook the snow from his hair and then noticed a woman standing against a tree nearby watching him. He tilted his head to the side and squinted against the falling snow. Wasn't that one of his new teachers? It was, he decided and waved to her with a smile.

Lily had turned away for a couple minutes and when she looked back she noticed Robert giving her a friendly wave. Lily responded by giving him a friendly wave back. It was one of the students. What was his last name again? Oh yeah, Ginovaef. Lily looked up at the sky as the snow lightened up a bit. Lily walked over to the young man and said," Hello M.Ginovaef. Not causing trouble i 'ope," she said with a french accent. ((you are a student right?)) She smiled.

Robert laughed.
"None right at the moment, Ms Richards. I would need a friend around to do that," he smiled at her.
((yup! a first year student ^ ^))

Lily shook her head laughing slightly. Her laugh was light. " zat was a good one Robert," she said, turning back to her everyday talk instead of her prep/teacher talk. Lily looked slightly around and said," Where are your friends?" Lily looked a bit surprised.

Robert thought a moment about that question.
"I'm not too sure where any of them are, actually. But I'm giving Nick a day off away from me, so he is out on his own. My guess is that the others are either at work or studying," he told his language teacher.

"Well its good to hear that at least some people are studying," Lily joked. She woudl still have to get use to being called Ms. Richards. Lily looked around and said," Don't you just love the snow?" Lily was like a little kid when she wasn't teaching. Like she actually liked to have decent conversations with the kids she taught outside of the classroom. So talking to Robert was seem odd to most, but to her, it was just another person she could talk to.

"Yes, I do love snow. Reminds me of the good times from when I was younger. Snowball fights with my sister and my friends," Robert thought back to the days before all the trials of his youth. He had grown up fast after that and hadn't played in the snow since. Maybe he should run and grab a friend to play with in the snow......what little there was as of yet.

Lily smiled. "Sounds like you had a pretty eventful life before zis school eh?," Lily said, sitting down on a huge rock. Lily thought for a moment. Lakewood academy had just reopened and there wasn't many people there. She was still deciding on which class she should teach, english or french.

Robert sort of snorted and looked up at the sky and the still falling snow.
"Really, eventful is an understatement but it's a sore subject for me. I'd rather just think of the here and now," he said as he looked back to the ground and his teacher. The here and now was so much better than the past for him.

Lily nodded in understandment. "If you ever need someone to talk to though, i'm 'ere okay? Remember that mr. Ginovaef," Lily said quietly. Lily didn't have the best childhood before her school years either and knew what it was like- even though she didn't know exactly what Robert went through.
Lily looked around and said," by the way, if you happen to see my daughter around can you please tell her to come home? i need to see her,"

Robert looked at Ms Richards and nodded.
"I'll remember that but right now I do have someone to help me through it, who understands," he explained and then thought a moment. "What does your daughter look like? She look like you much?"

Lily nodded. "Of course,". When he asked about her daughter she said," well, not really. here's a picture," Lil said, taking a picture out of her pocket. it looked like this: "Her name is Marika," Lily added.

Robert held the picture a moment and then handed it back.
"She looks a bit young to be wandering by herself but who am I to judge," he laughed. "I'll be sure to tell her to get home if I see her, but I wasn't actually staying here, I was on my way home," he explained.

"Well shes thirteen years old," Lily said, smiling. " I trust her. and i hope you have a safe trip home Mr. Ginovaef and i hope to see you in class." She said, giving Robert a quick nod. She stood up and started walking back to where her apartment was located, hoping to find Marika already there.

Robert smiled at her daughters age. If he had had the chance to be away from home at that age...
"I will, Ms Richards, and I will be sure to keep an eye out for Marika," he assured her and started to turn and walk back throught the park towards the apartment. Maybe he'd drag Nick out to play in the snow when there was more of it.
